Vincent Morrone is an eclectic author of dark stories filled with broken souls that find healing through laughter and love. Born in Brooklyn, he now lives in Upstate New York with his family. Their home is operated for the comfort of their four dogs. Vincent runs a local critique group and has conducted workshops for his local RWA chapter. He is the author of nine published novels, including the award-winning Torn series, the Vision series, and Just Breathe, plus one novella and three short stories. His latest release The New Apprentice is a YA Fantasy, written with his daughter Danielle.
Vincent’s stories range from Young Adult Paranormal Romance to Fantasy, to Romantic Suspense. What do all of his novels have in common? Pretty much all of them involve people who struggle with shame and painful memories and find healing through the love in a new relationship. In essence, Vincent has been using his novels for personal therapy, even before he knew it. Growing up, he was fairly convinced that he’d fail at most anything he tried, including writing. It became easier to not try than to try and fail. Then one day, he’d meet his wife who simply didn’t buy into his self-doubt. “If you want to write, then learn how to write. You can do whatever you put your mind to.”
It would take almost a decade, in which time, they became proud parents to twin daughters. His first book, The Dragon Club was way too long to be published. Refocusing on a new story, Vincent would land his first publishing contract for Vision of Shadows. The idea of actually achieving a dream was almost as shocking as having a family that celebrated that victory with him.
Before getting married, Vincent had earned his high school diploma as well as a two-year degree from Kingsborough Community College. One regret was that he never walked the stage to receive his either diploma as he was convinced nobody cared. Now driven to do the things he always thought he couldn’t, he enrolled in Southern New Hampshire University where he’s studying English with a concentration in Creative Writing. He’s also thinking about applying for a double major in psychology. After over a year, Vincent has a GPA of 3.967, which he finds amazing.
Since his debut novel first became available, Vincent’s daughters have both graduated from college, and one got her master’s as well. His family also expanded when three amazing kids moved in with them back in 2017. While one has also graduated from college, and one has just started his freshman year, one is still at home making their way through high school.
Vincent doesn't like to brag (That's a lie, he so loves to brag!) but over the last few years, he's had several milestones.
